INDONESIA’S TOURISM PERFORMANCE INDEX RANKED 22ND IN THE WORLD

THE INDONESIAN tourism sector again carved a proud achievement, Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI), which was just officially released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on May 21, 2024 showed that Indonesia’s position was back up 10 rankings, from rank 32 to rank 22 of the world.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (05/21), 2024, said Indonesia returned to the ranking of Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam in terms of tourism competitiveness.

“Indonesia is able to achieve an increase in ranking, up to 4.46% from position 32 to position 22. Therefore, do not ever feel inferior to other countries about Indonesian tourism because we have been in the top 22 of the worlds, so if we are in the world ranking there are 119 countries, we are already top, ” said Minister Sandiaga.

The data shows that Indonesian tourism has cursed or successfully risen with an effective and efficient budget. This proves that the programs and policies implemented by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy are on target, right and on time, because it has a direct impact on the tourism sector and creative economy to be able to create jobs and promote economic recovery.

“Even with an efficient budget, we can innovate, adapt and collaborate. I hope we can encourage the spirit of adaptation, innovation and cooperation. I also hope that this achievement can continue in the future leadership,” he elaborated.

Sandiaga concluded that this is the relay that we will submit to the new minister, yesterday’s step is very exceptional, hopefully we can still improve our ranking. [traveltext.id]
