JOKOWI INAUGURATES SEVERAL DEV’T FACILITIES TO SUPPORT PAREKRAF IN IKN

PRESIDENT Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the development of several support facilities for the tourism and creative economy (parekraf) sector in the area of Indonesian Capital (IKN), North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy who accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the development of several supporting facilities for the tourism and creative economy (parekraf) sector in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) area, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

The groundbreaking ceremony by President Jokowi witnessed by Sandiaga on Wednesday (09/25), 2024 was the Delonix Nusantara and Magnum Resort Nusantara areas. Delonix Nusantara is an investment of Delonix Group, a hotel chain from China, which will build a hotel area, shopping mall and apartments in the IKN area.

President Joko Widodo said that the presence of Delonix Nusantara and Magnum Resort Nusantara is an important part of the development of the IKN area as an international city.

“We hope that this investment will show that investment opportunities in the Indonesian capital are open to everyone as it becomes a global city,” the President stated.

Meanwhile, according to Sandiaga, Delonix Group is one of the pioneers of foreign investment that has greatly contributed to the development of IKN. Delonix is one of the largest hotel operators in China with more than 15,000 rooms and an investment value of IDR500 billion.

“Magnum Resort Nusantara was built by Magnum Estate International from Russia with an investment value of IDR300 billion and will be built on an area of 1.3 hectares. The presence of foreign investment in the IKN area is expected to accelerate the development of IKN and support the development of the tourism and creative economy (parekraf) sector there,” he affirmed.

“We hope this can be a momentum to bring in more foreign investment that can create business opportunities and jobs,” Sandiaga concluded. [traveltext.id]
