DEFEATING CHANGI AIRPORT, ISTANBUL AIRPORT IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD

ISTANBUL Airport in Turkey has been named the world’s best airport this year, beating Singapore’s Changi in second place. The award was given by readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine in its annual Readers’ Choice Awards.

Incheon Airport in Seoul, South Korea, came in third, followed by Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, and Zurich Airport in Switzerland. Other airports in the top 10 include Hong Kong, Dubai, Tokyo Haneda, New Delhi and Mumbai.

More than 575,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers participated in the survey. They evaluate and share their opinions on a variety of travel experiences, including the best cities, islands, hotels, resorts, cruise ships, spas, airlines and more. The Readers’ Choice Awards, the longest-running awards program in the travel industry, recognize excellence in hotels, resorts and destinations worldwide.

Istanbul Airport
Since opening in 2018, Istanbul Airport has confirmed its reputation as one of the largest and most impressive airports in the world. Here, the main terminal consists of two curved wings connected by the central atrium, which is illuminated by the roof window, giving it a relieved appearance.

In addition to its striking architecture, Istanbul offers a variety of facilities for travelers, from designer shops to luxury restaurants. As the largest Star Alliance hub in Europe, with more than 100 destinations in Europe and 50 in Africa, you can say you are the capital of connectivity.

Changi Airport
Last year, Singapore Changi Airport, famous for the tallest waterfall in the room, was named Best Airport in the same awards.

With four terminals and an area of more than one million square meters, equivalent to 156 football fields, Changi is famous for its advanced facilities, including free shopping malls and luxury hotels. The airport also offers sophisticated services for travelers. With automated check-in and biometric authentication, passengers at Changi can complete the immigration process in just one minute.
