PRESIDENT Prabowo Subianto promised to build an international airport in North Bali called North Bali International Airport. Later, this airport will compete with Singapore and Hong Kong (HK). The development of North Bali International Airport has long been discussed as an effort to balance the development that has been concentrated in South Bali.
Prabowo made the promise during a visit to Bali to meet with Gerindra Party-backed candidates for governor, regent, and mayor. Prabowo predicted that with the airport, North Bali could compete with Singapore and Hong Kong.
“North Bali Airport, I have said that I am committed. I want to build the North Bali International Airport. The new Singapore, the new Hong Kong where the center of this region is,” Prabowo stated in his speech quoted on Monday (11/04), 2024.
According to Prabowo, to realize it, one must work hard and dare to think big. North Bali Airport is also a campaign promise of the Bali gubernatorial pair I Made Muliawan Arya and Putu Agus Suradnyana (Mulia-PAS) in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada). [sources/photo special]
