PT ANGKASA Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), the operator of 37 airports in Indonesia, has set a 50% reduction in airport service charges for aircraft and airline passengers during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holidays.
“This move is in line with the Minister of Transportation’s letter number PR.303/1/20/MHB/2024 regarding the imposition of airport service tariff discounts,” said InJourney Airports President Director Faik Fahmi in Tangerang, Monday (12/02), 2024.
The tariff reduction is given to Aircraft Passenger Service Charge (PJP2U) or also known as Passenger Service Charge (PSC). The fare is applicable at 37 airports and on all domestic economy class routes.
PJP2U is an airport service charge that is included in the airline ticket. In other words, when prospective passengers purchase airline tickets, the PJP2U fee is already included in the nominal ticket price.
“The ticket booking period is December 1, 2024-January 3, 2025 with flight departures during the period of Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holidays in December 19, 2024-January 3, 2025. This is a form of support for the government’s airfare reduction program that the public has been waiting for,” he said.
In addition, the PJP2U fare reduction during the long holiday season is expected to stimulate the local economy and promote domestic tourist destinations.
PJP4U Rate Reduction
In addition to the PJP2U rate reduction, InJourney Airports has also set a 50% discount on Aircraft Landing, Placement, Storage Services (PJP4U) for airlines, which is also applicable at all InJourney Airports during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
“This discount will be applied to landing and parking fees while at the airport as a form of support from InJourney Airports to the airlines,” he concluded. [sources/photo special]
