THE MINISTRY of Creative Economy has announced a new collaboration with Garuda Indonesia Airlines and Tahilalats. This partnership represents a significant step forward in our collective efforts to advance and promote local IP (Intellectual Property).
The collaboration was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Garuda Indonesia on Tuesday, (12/17), 2024, at Balairung Soesilo Soedarman, Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta. The Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Dessy Ruhati, signed the MoU with the President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, who was witnessed by the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya.
“We would like to express our gratitude to PT Garuda Indonesia for acting as a local intellectual property promotion platform and for collaborating with Tahilalats on this pilot project. It is our hope that this collaboration will serve to further introduce local intellectual property to the wider community and become an attractive proposition for passengers to travel with PT Garuda Indonesia,” said Minister Riefky.
Riefky stated that the MoU, which partners with IP Tahilalats, is designed to bolster and enhance the value proposition for creative economy stakeholders. Collaboration is the key to developing the creative economy ecosystem.
He added that the five key areas covered by the MoU. The first area of collaboration is the exchange and/or utilisation of data and information, the development of creative economy marketing, cooperation in the provision of flight services in accordance with each agreement, cooperation in the utilisation of creative economy promotion media through Garuda’s asset media, and cooperation and/or other activities in accordance with the duties and functions of each party.
“Naturally, it is anticipated that this collaboration will serve to establish the creative economy as a new engine of growth, or even a new national economic engine,” Riefky affirmed.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar noted that one of the tangible outcomes of this MoU is the installation of the Tahilalats livery on Garuda Indonesia aircraft. Typically, the Ministry of Creative Economy and Garuda Indonesia initiate collaborations with the installation of the livery, with subsequent opportunities for partnership to follow. [traveltext.id]
