KEMENEKRAF-IWAPI DISCUSS COOPERATION FOR MSMEs TO MOVE UP A CLASS

MINISTRY of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf) through Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya has received an audience from Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWAPI) at Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, on Friday (01/10) 2025. The two discussed the empowerment of women so that MSMEs can move up a class to promote the creative economy as a new engine of growth.

Minister Riefky appreciated the role of the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWAPI) in empowering women so far.

According to the Minister of Creative Economy, Riefky expressed his willingness to cooperate in supporting new technologies, access to finance and solving problems faced by MSMEs.

“We see the role of IWAPI for women, which has been proven so far, especially we are ready to cooperate in supporting new technology, including access to their problems. So, we are not doing all this alone, but together,” said Minister Riefky.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, in this audience also conveyed several programs of the Ministry of Creative Economy that could be in line with IWAPI, which are aimed at MSMEs and game developers.

“We have a Local Snacks (JJL) program, which is an application, for example, tourists entering a hotel are confused about what to buy, they can be given recommendations for local snacks, and can be purchased directly through the barcode provided,” said Irene Umar.

Meanwhile, IWAPI in today’s audience appreciated that the vision and mission of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association is in line with the Ministry of Creative Economy. Therefore, IWAPI welcomes the cooperation with the Ministry of Creative Economy to develop the creative economy, improve the quality of MSMEs, and build the future of Indonesia’s young generation.

Likewise, Nita Yudi as the General Chairperson of IWAPI said we really appreciate this ministry because it continues to improve how this creative economy can be accommodated, supported, so that it can become a container for even the younger generations who may have previously been active in negative activities, this can be a very positive activity, even an activity that can improve the Indonesian economy.
