THE prestigious fashion event, New York Fashion Week, will be held in early February 2025. Creative Economy Ministry (Kemenekraf) through Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, fully supports the creative economy players who will surely bring Indonesia’s (RI) name to the international stage.
“We are proud because we know the relentless struggle despite limitations. Whatever we can help, we will definitely help. Hopefully, the preparation can go further,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky when he received an audience with creative economy actors at the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta on Friday, January 10, 2025.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky praised the commitment of creative economy players who will surely bring local products to the world. Minister of Creative Economy Riefky said that the Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to support promotions that are believed to strengthen the fashion industry in the country.
“We also support other fashion designers to bring the name of Indonesia. We are proud, we support. We can also give banking partners that there are good programs for us to support,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
The audience was also attended by the Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design of the Creative Economy Ministry, Yuke Sri Rahayu, the Director of Fashion, Romi Astuti, the Director of Handicrafts, Neil Yana, and Osco Olfriady Letunggamu as the Chairman of Gekrafs Special Committee for Overseas and his staff.
In the audience, Yuke hoped that the participation of creative economy players would not stop at the New York Fashion Show, but would open up business opportunities and promote Indonesian products abroad. He also hoped that the success of Indonesian fashion designers would spread to other creative economy players.
“We appreciate it, it’s amazing to be able to enter the New York Fashion Week event, have an amazing concept, but it’s hoped that it’s not just a fashion show, but also think about sustainability, such as selling Indonesian products abroad, it’s hoped that it will bring the carriage,” said Yuke.
Meanwhile One of the fashion designers in the audience, Adith Hendart, said I felt connected to the Creative Economy Ministry. The vision I brought is in line with what the Ministry of Creative Economy is fighting for.
“All concepts are in line, the creative economy is we talk about how things based on creativity can produce something that has an impact, especially in the economic sector, right? Like before, one of the goals of the minister is how we can have exports of our work, if it can go global,” he affirmed.
Adith concluded that if our work can reach America. Of course we can increase the value of our exports, right. So that’s what needs to happen between us creative people and also the ministry and the state to continue to work together. [traveltext.id]
