THE MINISTRY of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf) is exploring opportunities to cooperate with Telkomsel in the development of the creative economy digital ecosystem to promote the creative economy sector as the new engine of growth.
The idea was conveyed by the Minister of Creative Economy (Education), Teuku Riefky Harsya, when he met with Telkomsel at the Sapta Pesona Building on Monday, January (01/13), 2025, In his speech, Riefky hoped that Telkomsel would become part of Hexahelix Ekraf to play a role in the development of the creative economy.
“Our approach to Hexahelix allows us to be close to academics, businesses, communities, financial institutions and the media. The inclusion of Telkomsel as a SOE, which is part of this program will fill the line and solve the problems faced These are challenges, ” said Riefky.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar said that the purpose of the Ministry of Creative Economy, one of which was to monitor the contribution of the creative economy, which was classified as a new thing for the community to national economic growth.
According to Irene, this was done to support the creative economy as a new national economic growth machine.
“The main mission of us is to show data in real time donations from the creative economy to the national economy how much, because it cannot be denied that the creative economy is classified as new and many do not know,” said Wamenekraf Irene.
She also opened up the potential for further collaboration with Telkomsel as a partner in terms of supporting people who started to make live streaming as a new source of income. This has a positive growth and positive impact on the creative economy in general
“For the next collaboration, in addition to course data, gamers and streamers also have a positive number of growths. We will have Indonesia Week games this year. In addition, there is Matic Matic (Mother Literacy Technology) we can push into affiliate marketing. The hope can go with Telkomsel and we can monitor together, ” Irene affirmed.
Meanwhile Telkomsel President Director, Nugroho explained that Telkomsel as BUMN welcomed this collaboration opportunity because it has the same vision, namely to build the creative economy ecosystem in Indonesia, especially in terms of digitalization.
“Of course, this is a good opportunity for Telkomsel to develop its ecosystem because we can no longer rely on basic connectivity. The strategy is how can we develop the ecosystem, and one of the potentials is the Creative Economy Ministry,” Nugroho underlined.
He continued that how can we have the data we need to be able to monitor. So the goal is to protect creative workers as mentioned earlier and we are solving with the system that we will build so that they can be protected. So, we need the cooperation of the Ministry of Creative Economy. Our spirit is the same.
The scope of potential collaboration explored by the Kenenekraf with Telkomsel includes; exchange of data and information, especially real time data, promotion cooperation through digital platforms, cobranding, and activation of promotion or commercialization of ecraf products online or luring.
On the other hand, Telkomsel offers a creative economy transformation with digital solutions such as the provision of digitization platforms to show ecraf identity, mobile data API for data engagement with in-depth analysis, mobile applications, and marketing digital advertising with managed services.
In the near future, it is expected that the Memorandum of Understanding or MoU between the Creative Economy Ministry/Creative Economy Agency and Telkomsel will be signed as soon as possible to become the basis of cooperation between the two parties.
