MINISTRY ENCOURAGES OF EKRAF ASSOCIATIONS AS NEW ECONOMY GROWTH ENGINES

THE MINISTRY of Creative Economy encourages the strengthening of the creative economy (ekraf) ecosystem. It is hoped that the creative economy will become an aspect that will increase economic growth.

According to the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya in the institutional strengthening activity of the Creative Economy Association on Tuesday, (02/4), 2025 said this as a form of commitment in increasing organizational capacity and building sustainable strategies for the development of the creative economy ecosystem in general and the parties that are members of the Association in particular.

“Treatment from the outset we must establish the creative economy as a new engine of economic growth “The New Engine of Growth” to achieve the economic growth target of 8% in the next five years,” said Riefky.

The event itself was divided into 3 panel discussions, namely: (1). Presentation of funding opportunities for the creative industries by the Deputy of the Coordinating Ministry of Economy, (2). Sharing best practices in association management with entrepreneurs’ organizations, (3). Financial management and financing options for creative economy associations by the Revolving Fund Management Institution of the Ministry of Cooperatives.

Riefky explained that the struggle that creative economy associations will go through is certainly not easy. According to him, there must be seriousness and a common intention to promote national independence through the creative economy.

“We express our highest gratitude and appreciation to all representatives of associations who have participated in this activity. By promoting entrepreneurship and developing the creative economy industry from the association, of course, there is a policy direction that will be carried out, including strengthening the creative economy ecosystem based on cultural and intellectual wealth, increasing productivity that has high value added, and developing creative economy hubs or clusters to become new sustainable and inclusive growth engines,” he affirmed.

Meanwhile, Ferry Irawan, Deputy for Coordination of Management and Development of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, said that the stages of economic transformation will be increasingly dominated by the middle class. They have an important role to play in supporting the creative economy sector amidst the economic challenges that lie ahead.

“The financing opportunities for creative economy associations and financing schemes such as the People’s Business Credit (KUR) can be used by actors who already have professional certification as creative economy activists,” concluded Ferry Irawan. [traveltext.id]
