JAVA Festival Production affirms the 20th anniversary of the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival as a musical journey, a historical milestone that colors the cultural landscape of Jakarta and the world.
For two decades, this festival has become an icon, a celebration of harmony that unites various musical and cultural genres on one magnificent stage.
According to Dewi Gontha, President Director of Java Festival Production, said the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival 2025 (BNI JJF2025). Similar to previous years, this year’s event will be held for three days on the weekend, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, from May 30 to June 1, 2025.
“The committee wants to make JJF 2025 an event that can have a positive impact on Indonesia. There has been a lot of bad news lately, we want Java Jazz to bring positive news to Indonesia,” Dewi said at a recent press conference in Senayan.
She explained that since its inception in 2005, the Java Jazz Festival has been on a long journey filled with stories of joy and sorrow. Starting with a simple vision to present quality jazz music in Indonesia, this festival continues to grow and innovate, facing various challenges with an undying spirit.
“From a simple stage at the beginning of the journey to the largest jazz festival in Southeast Asia and one of the largest in the world, the Java Jazz Festival has carved out a long history adorned with stunning performances by legendary world musicians and Indonesia’s best talents,” she affirmed
To mark this important milestone of 20 years, she continued that the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival will present a series of special projects designed to pamper music lovers. The festival will once again showcase a number of artists who have played a role in its history, as well as introduce new talents who will bring new energy to the world of music.
“The Java Jazz Festival believes that music is a universal language that can unite differences. We are also committed to continue presenting quality music to the people of Indonesia and the world,” Dewi underlined.
She concluded that the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival 2025 will feature 11 stages spread across the JIExpo Kemayoran area in Jakarta. Each stage will present a unique musical experience, featuring various jazz music genres and styles and their derivatives.
