STARTING OCTOBER 2025, NO NEED A PASSPORT STAMP TO ENTER 29 COUNTRIES

AS OF October 12, 2025, tourists from outside the European Union will no longer require a passport stamp for manual entry and exit from European countries. This policy applies to 29 registered countries.

According to a report from the Economic Times, international visitors, including both visa holders and visa-free travelers, are required to register their fingerprints and face photos when crossing the external border of the European Union.

In addition to biometric data, this system will record the name, details of travel documents, as well as the date and place of entrance or exit. This system will also maintain a record of rejection for digital rejection.

The system’s entry and exit (EES) functions are designed to enhance security, detect overstay, and minimize identity fraud.

The authorities have indicated that this system will streamline border control procedures. In addition, immigration data is more reliable than data collected using manual stamps.

Please find below a list of European Union countries whose citizens will not require a passport stamp to enter Europe as of October 2025: (1). Austria has two points. Belgium (3). Bulgaria (4). Croatia (5). Czech (6). Denmark is currently ranked seventh. Estonia (8). Finland (9). France (10). Germany (11). Greece (12). Hungary (13). Iceland (14). Italy (15). Latvia is currently ranked 16th. It is important to note that the rollout of this new system will be phased in. The plan is to implement the system fully at all border points by April 2026.
