Minister Riefky emphasized that cultural values ​​not only reflect the legacy of the past but also serve as strategic capital for creative economy development.

“Culture is the capital of the future. History, art, traditions, and life stories, creatively processed, can generate added economic value, open up space for innovation, and strengthen the competitiveness of creative practitioners,” said Teuku Riefky.

The Indonesian Chinese Cultural Gallery features thematic spaces depicting the dynamics of the Chinese community, from their arrival process, cross-generational experiences, to acculturation practices in social, economic, and cultural life. This curatorial approach reinforces the message of togetherness while enriching the public’s understanding of diversity.

He added that cultural galleries play a strategic role as a crucial hub in building an inclusive and sustainable creative ecosystem.

“The values ​​of acculturation, togetherness, and diversity displayed in spaces like this remind us that differences are a force that unites the nation and enriches the creative industry,” he continued.

The presence of the Indonesian Chinese Cultural Gallery also opens up opportunities for collaboration across communities, education, and the creative industry, while encouraging the creation of creative products based on cultural narratives, design, performing arts, and educational content. This gallery is expected to become a platform for intergenerational dialogue relevant to the current context.

Riefky also encourages the use of cultural spaces as a means to develop various creative subsectors based on intellectual property, visitor experience, and curatorial innovation.
