THE WHOOSH high-speed train recorded a significant surge in passengers, carrying 126,169 people during the long holiday period of Eid al-Adha and Pancasila Day.
This positive trend proves that Whoosh is the public’s preferred mode of transportation for the Jakarta-Bandung route.
According to KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa stated that the average passenger volume on Whoosh during this long holiday period reached 19,000 to 20,000 passengers per day.
“The high passenger volume indicates increased mobility among people who are taking advantage of the long holiday to travel, visit relatives, and undertake other journeys along the Jakarta-Bandung corridor,” Eva said in Bandung, West Java recently.
Eva explained that during the long holiday period, the three routes with the highest passenger volumes were the Halim-Padalarang route with 62,801 passengers, Padalarang-Halim with 43,750 passengers, and Halim-Tegalluar with 14,721 passengers.
“With the high public interest during this long holiday, KCIC remains committed to providing reliable, fast and integrated transportation services,” she said.
She revealed that since its inception, the Whoosh high-speed train has seen a steady increase in trips, gradually increasing.
“Public confidence in continuing to use Whoosh is driven by various factors, such as the increase in the daily schedule to 62 trips, improved accessibility, and intermodal integration at stations,” she said.
According to her, passengers are now starting to try, like, and eventually become regular users of the Whoosh high-speed train service. The efficiency and comfort offered are among Whoosh’s key advantages.
“Various innovations are being introduced through collaborations with tourist locations, intermodal services with various transportation operators, and the provision of commercial areas,” he concluded. [antaranews]
