PT ANGKASA Pura Indonesia, or InJourney Airports, posted operating revenue of IDR10.23 trillion in the first half of 2026. This figure increased by 3% compared to the same period last year.
According to InJourney Airports President Director, Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi, said that this achievement was achieved amidst ongoing pressure on the aviation industry due to geopolitical turmoil in the Middle East since the end of the first quarter of 2026.
“Thanks to the transformation undertaken under Danantara, InJourney Airports has been able to maintain revenue growth amidst global challenges, particularly supported by the growth of its non-aeronautical business,” Rizal said in a written statement on Thursday (07/23), 2026.
He continued, explaining that the revenue growth was primarily driven by improved performance in its non-aeronautical business, along with the optimization of commercial area management at several airports. The company has noted the success of its airport beautification program and the implementation of the tenant mixing concept, which combines various types of tenants to provide a better shopping experience for passengers.
One focus of the transformation in the aeronautics business has been the development of commercial areas and supporting facilities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali since last year.
At Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the commercial area was reorganized to enhance the passenger shopping experience. Meanwhile, Terminal 1C was developed with a shopping arcade concept accessible not only to passengers but also to the general public through a security screening system located after the commercial area.
Furthermore, at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, the company implemented a single-flow concept in the commercial area and featured various global brands for duty-free, food and beverage outlets, and lounges. Furthermore, access to and from the airport was improved and the capacity of security checkpoints was increased to speed up the departure process, allowing passengers more time to enjoy airport facilities.
Meanwhile, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar has been operating a new terminal equipped with a modern commercial area since November 2025. The presence of this terminal increases the airport’s capacity to 15.5 million passengers per year, a significant increase from the previous capacity of around 7 million passengers per year.
Rizal stated that InJourney Airports’ non-aeronautical revenue currently contributes approximately 38% of total operating revenue, up from 30 percent before the transformation under Angkasa Pura I and Angkasa Pura II.
“We will continue to strengthen our businesses, both aeronautical and non-aeronautical, to achieve a stronger revenue structure, sustainable business growth, and allow InJourney Airports to continue creating added value for the aviation and tourism industries, ultimately boosting the national economy,” Rizal said.
On the financing side, InJourney Airports also restructured its funding with creditors through the InJourney Group Financial Solutions scheme in the first quarter of 2026.
