CITILINK is offering rescheduling and refund options to passengers traveling to Jakarta, Bandung, and Lampung—areas currently affected by volcanic ash from the Anak Gunung Krakatau (GAK) eruption that began on Sunday (9/06), 2026.
According to Tashia Scholz, Citilink’s Corporate Secretary & CSR Group Head, stated in a release issued in Tangerang, Banten, on Monday (9/07), 2026) that this policy follows the extended temporary closure of operations at several airports.
“Citilink flights scheduled after 07:00 WIB on September 8, 2026, will resume gradually once the respective airports are declared operational again,” she explained.
The affected airports include Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Jakarta), Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (Jakarta), Husein Sastranegara Airport (Bandung), and Radin Inten II Airport (Lampung).
“Continued operations will remain subject to the latest conditions, directives from regulators, and compliance with flight safety and security standards,” she noted.
She stated that, as compensation for affected passengers, Citilink is offering free flight rescheduling and full refunds in accordance with applicable regulations.
“For refunds, passengers can view the complete procedure via the official link https://www.citilink.co.id/refund. For tickets purchased through travel agents or online booking platforms, refund requests must be submitted through the original point of purchase,” she explained.
Citilink urges all affected passengers to regularly monitor their flight status via the official website or the Citilink mobile app.
Meanwhile, the airline continues to coordinate closely with aviation authorities and stakeholders to ensure operations return to normal as soon as possible.
