PT PELITA Air Services has announced its readiness to resume passenger services following the reopening of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) on Tuesday, (9/08), 2026.
Pelita Air Corporate Communications Manager Baskoro Adiwiyono stated that the airline’s operational readiness remains aligned with evolving conditions on the ground, as well as directives and regulations from aviation authorities.
“In navigating the dynamics of flight operations, Pelita Air continues to coordinate intensively with regulators, airport operators, AirNav Indonesia, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that every flight is conducted safely, securely, and comfortably,” he said in an official statement on Tuesday, (9/08), 2026.
Baskoro urged customers to regularly check flight information via Pelita Air’s official channels, including the airline’s official WhatsApp service at 0822-4014-2270.
Customers are also advised to ensure that any travel information they receive comes from the airline’s official channels to avoid relying on inaccurate information.
Previously, the Ministry of Transportation announced the reopening of Soetta operations following a closure caused by the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau. The closure was in effect from Sunday, (9/06), 2026, until Monday, (9/07) 2026, at 23:59 WIB.
In addition to Soetta, the Ministry of Transportation has also resumed operations at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta and Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung.
Via the social media account @otbansatu, the Ministry of Transportation urged air travelers to check their flight status and confirm schedules through their respective airlines’ official channels before heading to the airport.
