THE Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy appreciates the hard work of Indonesia’s creative economy players, especially in the film sub-sector who are still productive and creative even in the midst of a pandemic.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, after watching the special screening of the Nussa the Movie “at XXI Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday (29/5) said I was proud of the animated films made by the nation’s artists that continue to show their quality.
“I appreciate the presence of this (animated) film. I am sure that with the quality that continues to be improved, one day quality films like ‘Nussa’ will boast the name of Indonesia in the world,” said Sandiaga Uno.
Collaboration is one of the factors that creative Indonesians must be able to do in order to increase their potential and opportunities. Sandiaga Uno considered this to have gone well in the production process of the film ‘Nussa’, which is a collaboration between the animation studio The Little Giantz led by Aditya Triantoro and Visinema Pictures led by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. Hundreds of film people are involved in the production process of the film.
“In the midst of this pandemic, many filmmakers collaborate and produce products that are not only good to look at, but also have Indonesian values. In fact, they are very relevant to people’s daily lives,” he said.

“I also appreciate Erick Thohir and Triawan Munaf for their attention to the film sector in Indonesia. Angga, the story of the animated film has a high cost. On the positive side, this film employs more than 400 filmmakers who are involved in the production. So that it opens a very wide job opportunity In terms of technology, this film uses the best current technology so it is expected to be a trigger for Indonesian artists to display other cool works. Meanwhile, film director Angga Dwimas Sasongko explained, the film ‘Nussa’ is an extension of the digital format to the big screen. On the big screen, we want to see how ‘Nussa’ lives with the diversity that exists in Indonesia. In essence, we want to show that with animation we can tell about essential things that are close to our daily lives, with animation we can touch people’s hearts too so that Indonesian animation can become a new milestone.
Angga also hopes that the animated film ‘Nussa the Movie’ will be a trigger to invite young Indonesians who have the ability but do not have a place, platform, framework to be able to work. With the presence of ‘Nussa’, it is hoped that more animators can collaborate together.
