AS a form of support for efforts to accelerate the national vaccination program, the national airline Garuda Indonesia provides COVID-19 vaccination service facilities for passengers who already have Garuda Indonesia flight tickets.
According to the President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, said through the provision of vaccination services, passengers aged 18 years and over who will fly with Garuda Indonesia can access COVID-19 vaccination services, both the first and second doses for the Sinovac vaccine.
“Located in the Garuda Indonesia customer service area at Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) International Airport, passengers only need to show their Garuda Indonesia flight ticket, as well as an Identity Card (KTP). The service is available starting today, Wednesday (6/30) at 08.00-14.00 WIB and can be accessed for free,” he said.
He added that the provision of this vaccination service is a form of commitment and support for Garuda Indonesia to contribute to the maximum contribution in efforts to accelerate the national vaccination program. We believe this vaccination program is a ‘game changer’ that plays an important role in efforts to overcome the pandemic in Indonesia and should have the full support of all parties.
“The provision of vaccination service facilities is certainly inseparable from the support of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the relevant health authorities, who have also entrusted Garuda Indonesia to participate in the success of this national vaccination program. Furthermore, in providing this vaccination service facility, Garuda Indonesia will adjust to the availability of vaccine dose allocations that will be provided by the relevant authorities,” explained Irfan.
In its implementation, this vaccination service will be carried out by professional health workers from Garuda Sentra Medika (GSM) which is a health service unit of Garuda Indonesia and also cooperates with local health authorities in the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport area.
The implementation of this vaccination program will of course refer to the instructions for implementing the vaccination procedure for the Sinovac vaccine type, including the provisions for screening vaccine recipients referring to the applicable regulations.
