According to John Lim, Chairman of Manor Group said unveiled in November 2021, the same month that Thailand started welcoming international visitors for quarantine-free vacations, the new Manor North & South wing will more than double the room count at Akyra Manor Chiang Mai, as 32 new stylish Deluxe Rooms complement the existing 23 spacious Premier Suites and seven spectacular Manor Suites.
“Created by Hyphen Architects, the visionary interior design studio, the new wing perfectly captures the contemporary vibe of Chiang Mai’s trendiest district, with its chic cafés and boutiques, while also reflecting the classical charm of northern Thailand’s ancient Lanna Kingdom,” he said.
The wing comprises two low-rise, he continued, four-storey buildings, which are defined by a spacious open-plan layout and plenty of natural light. Colors flow across the ceiling, creating a fluid quality that gently escorts travelers along their journey, while the central courtyard with shady trees and relaxed seating is blessed by a refreshing breeze from Doi Suthep mountain, creating an exceptional venue for intimate events.
“The new Deluxe Rooms (all of which offer 30 square meters of living space) are designed with a lighter color palette, reflective materials and bold prints to create an immediate impact. Follows the hotel’s ethos that the bath should be at the forefront of the guest experience, each white bathroom is bright, inviting and adorned with hand-picked fixtures and fittings,” John Lim remarked.
