THE DIRECTORATE General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights issues the M-Passport application. Through the application, passport applicants can now apply by uploading scanned files to the application. So that passport applicants do not have to wait long for officers to upload and enter application data.
According to the Head of Public Relations and General Affairs of the Directorate General of Immigration, Arya Pradhana Anggakara, in a press release, Friday (12/31) said the M-Passport application contains features that accommodate the stages of applying for a passport which are usually done face-to-face.
These features include Early PNBP Payments, Arrival Schedule Rescheduling, Checking the Status of Passport Applications, Validation of population and civil registration Integration of Indonesian Travel Documents (Dukcapil & NIK)
According to Arya, applicants can download the M-Passport application on the Playstore and install it on their device. Next, the applicant uploads the required documents and selects the immigration office and the desired arrival schedule.
Next, the applicant must make payments on available channels, both online such as marketplaces and offline such as banks, post offices and minimarkets. The payment deadline is two hours after the document is uploaded.
“For now, we are still soft launching, the immigration offices that will open the passport queue quota for the first time in the M-Passport application are the South Jakarta Immigration Office, Central Jakarta Immigration Office, and Tangerang Immigration Office,” said Arya.
Meanwhile, Arya said, the new M-Passport application can be accessed by Android device users. While the iOS version is still in the approval stage by the Appstore.
