THE AIRLINE from the United Arab Emirates, Emirates, plans to bring back flights to four destinations, namely Bali, London Standsted, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. The four flight routes had previously been temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For flights to Bali, Emirates will open it from May 1, 2022. The plan is to have five weekly flights to Bali using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with two configuration classes. Then starting July 1, 2022, Emirates will increase its operations to Bali by serving daily flights.
With the resumption of flights to Bali, Emirates is following the Indonesian government’s proactive steps in reviving tourism in Bali. The Island of the Gods has opened its doors to foreign tourists and has implemented a quarantine free for tourists who have been vaccinated since last March.
The flight to Bali departs from Dubai at 09.10 local time and arrives at 22.20 WITA. Meanwhile, the flight to Dubai departs from Denpasar at 00.05 and lands back in Dubai at 05.10 local time.
As for the destination London Stansted, weekly flights will become available on 1 August 2022 with five flights per week. Then on September 1, 2022, daily flights will start operating using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
For destinations Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires, four flights per week will be available on November 2, 2022, offering direct connectivity for customers from Argentina and Brazil to popular business or tourist destinations in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
From 1 February 2023, Emirates also plans to upgrade its operations to daily flights by offering customers greater convenience, choice and flexibility when planning travel. [antaranews/photo special]
