According to Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno said all G20 country representatives were present and dinner together at a long dining table with a liquid atmosphere without the slightest mention of geopolitical issues that occurred between Russia and other countries.
“In the chat of dinner with representatives of G20 countries more about tourism and the Indonesian creative economy and the efforts together to arouse the economy after being hit by a recession due to Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
He explained, we certainly want to voice peace, wanting to voice diplomacy, and tourism was something cool, something that could be universally accepted. Representatives of G20 countries interact with each other and have the same spirit to recover and can rise back from a pandemic. There was there from Russia, from all G20 countries were also present.
Sandiaga expressed hope from the G20 country so that Indonesia could take leadership in the G20 presidency in a challenging situation of geopolitical conditions. Sandiaga insists that Indonesia does not want to shift from the main focus of the G20 Presidency, namely Recover Together, Recover Stronger.
Especially in the pare sector, Sandiaga stated that Indonesia is one of the best tourist destinations with the diversity of creative economics.
“I also hope that the G20 countries also make the best contribution so that the G20 presidency in Indonesia can be successfully organized by its substance and positive benefits for the Indonesian people,” he stated.
Meanwhile, in the world scene there was tension between Western countries and Russia related to the attitude of the red bear state which invaded Ukraine. The geopolitical problem was reportedly spreading at the G20 meeting which was being held in Indonesia, where Western countries planned not to attend meetings if there was Russia.
