I GUSTI Ngurah Rai Airport adjusts operational activities on 12-18 November 2022. This adjustment is to anticipate a surge in passengers during the G20 Summit.
According to the President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I, Faik Fahmi, said the adjustment was regulated based on the circular letter of the Director General of Civil Aviation No. 11/2022. Operational adjustments were mainly in the aspects of security, safety, and smooth flight for the delegates.
“PT Angkasa Pura I has also prepared an airport operational adjustment scenario, which includes airside and landside operations. Meanwhile, the adjustment of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport during the Bali G20 Summit on November 12-18 includes operating hours for 24 hours,” he said.
He explained that the restrictions on regular flight operations will be on November 14, 2022 at 00.00-02.00 WITA and 13.00-21.00 WITA. Restrictions on regular flight operations on November 17, 2022 at 12.00-19.00 WITA.
“Priority of flight service: (1). G20 VVIP Flights (Main Aircraft and Support Aircraft), (2). G20 support military aircraft flights, (3). G20 delegate charter flights, (4). Non-commercial flights (charter flights) for the G20 delegation, (5). Regular domestic and international flights with a certain/limited number of movements,” Faik Fahmi mentioned.
In addition, passengers who will travel by air during a limited operational period on November 14 and 17, 2022, are encouraged to coordinate with airlines. This is due to the potential for changes to the scheduled commercial flight schedule that adjusts to the flights of the delegates of the G20 Summit participants.
Angkasa Pura I is also collaborating with the Bali Provincial Police to adjust traffic access around Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport between November 14 and 17, 2022. This is to facilitate the arrival of delegates and facilitate access to land transportation from the airport to the location of the summit. G20.
The two lanes of the Ngurah Rai Airport Highway which are in front of the PT Angkasa Pura I Administration Building to the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Roundabout Park, as well as the Tuban Highway access will be temporarily closed for the period of November 14 and 17.
