BATIK AIR has again expanded its international flight connectivity to and from Malaysia. After opening the Aceh Besar-Penang round-trip route, now travelers can also enjoy the convenience of direct flights to Penang via Jakarta.
The flight route connecting Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten (CGK), with Penang International Airport, Penang Island, Malaysia (PEN), will be served from 17 December 2022.
Corporate Communications Strategic of Batik Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, said the Jakarta-Penang round-trip route is a new choice for tourists who will visit abroad. Penang can be used as a list of spectacular destination cities for business activities, year-end and early year holidays.
“Penang is the second destination city in Malaysia served from Jakarta after Kuala Lumpur,” said Danang, as quoted from his official statement, Wednesday (12/07).
Not only that, Danang added, the opening of the new route was also to support the tourism campaign launched by the government to attract foreign tourists (tourists).
“The opening of the Jakarta-Penang round-trip route was introduced in support of the Proud to Travel in Indonesia (BBWI) campaign, in order to attract and bring in foreign tourists to ‘explore’ Indonesia,” he added.
