PT Angkasa Pura I (AP I) served 4,890,392 aircraft passenger movements at the 15 airports it managed throughout November 2022. This number increased by 46% compared to the same period in 2021, namely 3,357,153 aircraft passenger movements.
According President Director of Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said, two big agendas held in November 2022 namely the Mandalika Series Superbike World Championship in Lombok, NTB and the G20 Summit in Bali also contributed to the number of passenger movements and aircraft movements in November 2022.
The two airports of Angkasa Pura I, namely Lombok International Airport and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, have an important role in handling the arrival and departure of participants and delegates from these two grand agendas.
“The two airports not only contribute to the number of passenger movements, but also to aircraft movements,” said Faik Fahmi in a press release recently.
Based on data from Angkasa Pura I, there were 44,085 aircraft movements in November 2022, an increase of 8% compared to the same period last year which reached 40,719 aircraft movements. Meanwhile, cargo movements decreased by 1% from 40,691 tons of cargo movements in November 2021 to 40,370 tons of cargo movements in November 2022.
“The number of passenger movements reached 4.89 million people in November 2022, thus continuing the positive trend in the number of aircraft passenger movements of above 4 million passengers per month which has been going on since last May,” he said.
With the additional number of passenger, aircraft and cargo movements in November 2022, it means that Angkasa Pura I has served cumulatively 46,691,780 aircraft passenger movements, 488,981 aircraft movements, and 420,454 tons of cargo movements in the January-November period. 2022.
Whereas in the same period in 2021, 24,843,122 passenger movements, 366,321 aircraft movements, and 389,801 tons of cargo were served by 15 Angkasa Pura I airports.
When compared with statistics in the January-November 2021 period, during the January-November 2022 period Angkasa Pura I experienced an 88% growth in the number of passenger movements, a 34% growth in the number of aircraft movements, and an 8% growth in the number of cargo movements.
