TWO RIDERS from Gresini Racing, Fabio Di Giananntonio and Alex Marquez, shared their impressions regarding the support of the fans in Indonesia for the 2023 MotoGP season.
“I have visited Indonesia several times and can always feel the support of the fans here,” Di Giananntonio said during a fan and media meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the Italian racer added, one of the things he liked most about Indonesia was the large number of motorcyclists who enlivened the streets, especially in Jakarta.
“I don’t know, it’s just beautiful to see so many motorcyclists on the road. It’s very different (from other countries) and I think they are great riders!” Di Giananntonio said with a smile and a thumbs-up.
Still on the subject of the country’s fans, Alex Marquez said he felt well received by supporters in Indonesia. The number of racing fans in Indonesia has always been a memorable thing for him.
“I’m always happy to come back to Indonesia. Everyone is very welcoming and we are happy with the fans who welcome us kindly and openly,” said Marc Marquez’s younger brother.
Both agreed that fan support was special and important for the team going into the 2023 season. For Marquez, who is a new Gresini rider, this year is an important year.
“It’s a great moment with Gresini and I can’t wait to try our new bike at Sepang, considering that this season will be an important season for us. So, the preparation must be thorough,” said Marquez.
Agreeing, Di Giananntonio said he felt optimistic that he could give his best for the team this year.
“A lot of experience and lessons can be learned from last season and can be learned for this season to make good progress. This season will also be a big step for me,” he added.
Meanwhile, in this fan and media conference with Federal Oil, Di Giananntonio and Marquez also tried their hand at making cotton candy and signing posters. [antaranews]
