INDONESIA’S Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut B. Pandjaitan ensures that Indonesia’s 5 Super Priority Tourism Destinations (SPTDs) will be completed by 2024. This was revealed after attending the Coordination Meeting for the 2023-2024 Work Program at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Office, Wednesday (02/08), 2023.
“So, we discussed several things such as not letting any projects stall, for example 5 Super Priority Tourism Destinations (SPTDs). We make sure all of them are completed by 2024,” Luhut said at the location.
For now, Luhut continued that the construction of the 5 SPTDs. is monitored “progress on track.” The 5 SPTDs are Borobudur, Likupang, Mandalika, Lake Toba, and Labuan Bajo. So now it is how we complete all programs in 2024, also related to what we must be able to complete, for example food estate, waste, tourism, and others, so that everything is really finished. We really integrate everything.
Furthermore, Luhut revealed that he will discuss the program again at the next meeting in May. “In May, after fasting, we will evaluate the program again. So, from now until May, there will be integration meetings so that all of this can run,” Luhut concluded.
