WINGS Air announced that it will resume serving passengers on the Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport, Riau (PKU) – Melaka International Airport, Malaysia (MKZ) route starting May 8, 2023.
According to Corporate Communications Strategic of Wings Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro said, the flight will serve scheduled passengers (regular flights) from Pekanbaru to Malacca.
“Wings Air offers the right choice of flight schedules for the Pekanbaru to Malacca route, so that business people and tourists can more easily plan trips,” Danang said through a press statement received by Tempo on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Danang said the international flights are registered with flight numbers IW-1408 for Pekanbaru (PKU)-Malacca (MKZ) and IW-1409 for Malacca (MKZ)-Pekanbaru (PKU). In a day both flights only serve one trip each.
Danang continued, Wings Air Pekanbaru to Malacca international route can provide benefits for business people to improve business connectivity, speed up the process of shipping goods, and improve accessibility to trade and industrial centers in Pekanbaru and Malacca.
“Direct flights by Wings Air on the Pekanbaru to Malacca route in Malaysia are very important because they can increase the potential for economic growth in both cities,” Danang said.
