STILL CAN BUY ‘ON THE SPOT’, HOMECOMING PLANE TICKETS ARE ALMOST SOLD OUT

A NUMBER of airlines at Soekarno Hatta International Airport (Soetta) still provide ticket purchase services on the spot, even though travel tickets approaching Eid al-Fitr are almost sold out.

According to the Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal of Soetta Airport, M Holik Muardi in Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday (04/17) said that Bali and Yogyakarta were the most purchased destinations by travelers.

“The most targeted domestic destinations are Bali and Yogyakarta, then Medan, Surabaya, and Padang,” he said.

For the most favorite homecoming destinations, based on Antara’s monitoring until Wednesday afternoon, the average ticket has been sold out starting today until the second day of Eid. Some flights are still available, generally on April 23 and 24, 2023.

“The destination of Yogyakarta is sold out until April 23, with 70 seats remaining, because we only have a maximum of three flights per day to Yogyakarta, Bali is also full, which is still available on April 22 and 23,” said Citilink ticketing officer Wiyanda.

Similar to its subsidiary, Garuda Indonesia’s flight tickets from Jakarta are also mostly sold out, especially for the most popular destinations. Garuda flight tickets to Yogyakarta are fully booked until April 24, 2023, Bali is sold out until April 23, and Padang is also sold out until April 24.

“We serve ticket purchases on the spot every day 24 hours, but if passengers come directly planning to buy flights on the same day, we cannot ensure the availability of tickets, because they run out very quickly,” explained Garuda Indonesia ticketing staff, Sunita.

The ticket prices that are still available range above IDR1 million, for Garuda Indonesia, the destination of Padang costs IDR1,976,000, Yogyakarta IDR1,210,000, and Bali IDR1,922,000.

Met at terminal 3 of Soetta Airport, a prospective traveler from Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Malinda, was threatened with failure to return to her hometown to meet her beloved family because she ran out of tickets.

In fact, she had come all the way to Jakarta after taking a vacation from her job as an Indonesian migrant worker (TKI) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

“After three years of working, I planned to go home, but after I got here the tickets were all gone, I’m still looking for more, there is only April 22, there is also business class left,” she finished. [antaranews/photo special]
