INDONESIA is again one of the host countries for the 2023 MotoGP international racing event. For the second time the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit MotoGP in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Central Lombok, NTB, will host IndonesianGP on 13–15 October 2023.
IndonesianGP will be the 16th out of 20 series scheduled for this season, which will compete in three classes, namely Moto2, Moto3 and MotoGP.
As a series of preparations for the IndonesianGP, PT Mandalika Grand Prix Association Nusantara Jaya (MGPA), the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI), and Dyandra & Co. held a brand gathering activity MotoGP 2023 – Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, Wednesday (8/23), 2023 at Gold Dragon, Jakarta.
According to the General Chairperson of IMI, Bambang Soesatyo, expressed support for the upcoming MotoGP 2023 event. MotoGP is one of the most prestigious sports in the world, and we should support it, should socialize it, and we all must be present there as a form of our support as children of the nation, that we are able to put on a world-class automotive race show.
Meanwhile, the Main Director of MGPA, Priandhi Satria, said that we are holding a brand gathering today to raise support for the holding of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023. As an event promoter, MGPA has a big responsibility in carrying out this prestigious racing event.
“We synergize with Dyandra & co. to present the MotoGP series as an interesting attraction, not only in the race aspect but also in the non-race aspect, which will provide a multiplier effect for various parties,” he said.
Likewise, ITDC Director of Operations Troy Reza Warokka said, we provide this commitment to strengthen the icon of The Mandalika as sport tourism in NTB. The holding of MotoGP at the Mandalika SEZ brings a great opportunity for NTB and also for the Indonesian people to prove their readiness to host a prestigious and spectacular international motor racing event.
“To support the readiness of The Mandalika area to welcome the holding of MOTOGP 2023, ITDC has prepared regional basic infrastructure such as; Regional Road Access, Sidewalks, Public Street Lighting (PJU), Parking Areas, Utility Networks (electricity, clean water and internet), The Mandalika Bazaar which is an area of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), traffic management, security systems, fire management fires, social management and animal control, to waste management and provision of regional transportation,” Troy remarked.
Meanwhile, as co-promoter, Dyandra & Co., said Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra said he was ready to present a variety of interesting side events, including the Mandalika Beats program, a music concert by international artists. Not only that, other event programs such as the Bikers Lot have also been prepared to provide an unforgettable experience for visitors and automotive enthusiasts.
“We are witnessing tremendous growth in this destination. The positive impact generated by MotoGP is not limited to one sector, but various industries that have a direct impact on the local economy. We also understand the importance of entertainment and comfort elements in a racing event.
