In November 2023, West Java was recorded as the province of origin with the highest number of foreign tourists traveling, while the main destination province for foreign tourists was recorded as East Java. Cumulatively, the number of foreign tourists’ trips from January to November 2023 reached 749.11 million trips.
“So, if you look at it cumulatively, the number of foreign tourist movements has reached almost 750 million trips or an increase of 15% compared to the same period in 2019. So we are already above the base before the pandemic,” Sandiaga remarked.
