MORA Group has partnered with Select Hotels Group Japan and Qin Group Banjarbaru, inaugurating MORA Group as one of the companies involved in the hotel industry in Indonesia.
According to MORA Group CEO and Founder, Andhy Irawan in a press conference for the inauguration of MORA Group at Morazen Hotel Surabaya, East Java, Wednesday (07/31), 2024, said that we have signed a strategic partnership with partners such as Select Hotels Group from Japan and Qin Group from Banjarbaru with two hotel units in three-and four-star categories.
“One of the partners of MORA Group, namely Qin Group, is a company in the hotel sector for the three-and four-star categories that carries the concept of Muslim friendly or Sharia hotels in the area of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan and its surroundings,” he said.
Through a partnership with MORA Group, Qin Group will develop a five-star hotel category with a Muslim-friendly concept in the areas of South Kalimantan, Samarinda (East Kalimantan) and Solo (Central Java).
Meanwhile, Qin Group CEO and Founder Norhin said that this partnership opens up new opportunities to provide friendly hotel services to Muslim tourists in Indonesia. We have also started to explore several areas in Morocco and Medina for Qin Group’s business expansion plans.
Another partner of MORA Group, namely Select Hotels Group from Japan, is a hotel company that was established in 2005. Today, Select Hotels Group has 50 hotel units in Japan, ranging from business to luxury.
Together with MORA Group, Select Hotels Group will open a classic Japanese-style hotel business line in the four-star category called “Kanraku” in Indonesia, with a target of 50 hotels in the next few years.
“We see great potential in Indonesia and with this partnership we hope to bring the values of Japanese service excellence to the dynamic Indonesian market,” said Hiroshi Nakamura, CEO and founder of Select Hotels Japan.
“The hotel unit we are planning is called Kanraku, a hotel with a concept that will give guests in Indonesia the experience of staying in Japan,” he continued.
By collaborating with Select Hotels Group Japan and Qin Group, MORA Group aims to improve service standards and introduce innovative hospitality experiences that can cater to different cultural preferences. This is expected to enhance Indonesia’s attractiveness as a leading global tourism destination for both local and international tourists.
Meanwhile, the name MORA is inspired by the four main pillars of the acronym Meaningful, Optimism, Responsible and Adaptive.
