THE MINISTRY of Tourism invites the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) to strengthen cooperation in promoting Indonesia’s tourism sector.
According to the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, while attending the commemoration of the 56th anniversary of PHRI at Rainforest Taman Safari, Bogor, West Java, Tuesday (02/11), 2025, PHRI plays an important role in advancing Indonesian tourism, which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic several years ago.
“Throughout PHRI’s 56 years, this organization has been a trusted partner of the government in building and strengthening the tourism sector. PHRI has also been instrumental in attracting tourists to visit Indonesia,” said Ni Luh.
She explained that the number of visits by foreign and domestic tourists has increased significantly throughout 2024. And there is great potential for the tourism sector to support Indonesia’s economy.
Therefore, Ni Luh continued, I invite PHRI to continue to strengthen cooperation with the government in developing Indonesia’s tourism potential as much as possible in the future.
“We really need the role and cooperation of PHRI to prepare and build professional human resources to be able to provide quality services, then strengthen positive tourism programs and increase Indonesia’s attractiveness in the eyes of the world,” she affirmed.
Meanwhile, PHRI Chairman General Hariyadi Sukamdani urged PHRI administrators across Indonesia to continue to make the development of tourism in the country a success.
