SOEKARNO-HATTA AIRPORT’s NEW TERMINAL 1C HAS RESUMED OPERATIONS

SOEKARNO-Hatta Airport’s Terminal 1C resumed full operations on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. In addition to its new look, the capacity of this completely revitalized terminal has increased from 3 million to 10 million passengers per year.

According to Heru Karyadi, General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s Branch Office, has stated that the recently renovated Terminal 1C incorporates modern design elements while paying homage to traditional Indonesian aesthetics. The modern and distinctive interior design, along with Terminal 1’s signature architectural elements, such as terracotta brick and local ornaments, blend with modern layouts and the latest technology in various passenger service facilities.

Heru explained that the terminal’s design, which combines modern and traditional elements, enhances the appearance and reflects the unique Indonesian warmth that Soekarno-Hatta Airport aims to convey, ensuring every passenger experiences the comfort and character that characterizes Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

“On Tuesday, December 11, 2025, the renovation of Terminal 1C exemplifies Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s dedication to providing contemporary amenities while preserving its unique Indonesian character,” he stated.

PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Branch Office, has confirmed the full readiness of Terminal 1C, which will commence full operations on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. This operation is part of the terminal’s service and capacity improvements to support smooth flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Heru added that the full operation of Terminal 1C is an important step in improving the quality of service for airport users. We view this as more than a mere operational overhaul; it is a component of our broader initiative to offer a travel experience that is more comfortable, seamless, and memorable for all our users.

“Terminal 1C centrally serves all Citilink domestic flights. Prior to this, the terminal had been utilized for Citilink domestic flights since August 22, 2025. Beginning November 12, 2025, this terminal will serve all of the airline’s domestic flights, centralizing all Citilink departures and arrivals in one terminal area,” he affirmed.

He concluded that this step aligns with the rebalancing policy implemented at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which aims to evenly distribute operational loads and services between terminals. This management approach ensures that each terminal operates at its optimal capacity, providing a seamless and comfortable travel experience for all passengers. Heru has ensured that all operational and service aspects at Terminal 1C are ready to support smooth flight operations.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport requests that passengers, particularly those traveling with Citilink, pay close attention to their schedules, as the location of flight services will transition to Terminal 1C on November 12, 2025. This initiative is designed to facilitate a seamless and comfortable experience for travelers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. [tempo.co.id/photo special]
