AIRASIA MOVE (MOVE) expands its ecosystem portfolio by presenting the “Attractions” feature for booking tourist entrance tickets and tour packages.
This expansion was carried out through a strategic partnership with GetYourGuide, so that users can now search for flights, hotels and global tourism activities in one integrated platform.
With this latest innovation, MOVE reaffirms its commitment as a travel application that facilitates tourists’ needs from the planning stage, to enjoying the experience at the destination.
To mark the launch, MOVE is offering a 10 percent discount for ticket orders in the “Attractions” feature. Users also get a number of benefits, ranging from the best price options, pay-later payments, to flexible cancellation policies.
According to AirAsia MOVE CEO, Nadia Omer, said that the tourism experience (attractions) segment is now one of the fastest growing sectors in the global travel industry.
“Based on research by Arival and Phocuswright, the value of the travel experience market will reach US$271 billion in 2025, and is projected to increase to US$342 billion in 2029, surpassing other major travel segments,” she said.
Nadia explained that travelers today choose destinations based on what they can do there. Authentic local activities and experiences increasingly influence their travel decisions, as well as their spending patterns. This step strengthens MOVE’s position as a comprehensive OTA that remains relevant, amidst an ever-evolving industry landscape.
Meanwhile, Josh Montgomery, Global Head of Strategic Partnerships at GetYourGuide, said the Asia-Pacific region the fastest growing region for his company. I believe that this collaboration will make it easier for millions of tourists to find more meaningful experiences.
“Through our partnership with AirAsia MOVE, we bring the expertise of local guides directly to tourists who are planning their trips. Supporting tourists to explore beyond popular destinations, and explore cultural riches, hidden gems and world-class attractions that can provide unforgettable experiences,” concluded Emil.
