Wings Air Connects Yogyakarta and Majalengka in West Java

WINGS Air, a subsidiary of the Lion Air Group, is launching a new flight route between Yogyakarta and Majalengka in West Java since Jan. 11.

The route is to be served once a day each way on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a flight duration of approximately one hour on an ATR 72-500 or ATR 72-600 type of plane that has a capacity of 72 economy seats.

The Wings Air flight from Adisucipto International Airport in Yogyakarta would depart at 12:20 p.m. local time and arrive at Kertajati International Airport in Majalengka at 1:30 p.m.

The flight from Majalengka is scheduled to depart at 1:50 p.m. and is to arrive in Yogyakarta at 3 p.m.

“The presence of this air access in the corridor of Java Island shows Wings Air’s seriousness in bridging regions, while still prioritizing in-flight safety, security and comfort,” Danang Mandala Prihantoro, Wings Air corporate communications strategist, said in a statement.

Kertajati is the third destination in West Java to which Wings Air flies, after Bandung and Tasikmalaya. The carrier now has 118 domestic and foreign destinations, making more than 350 flights per day with a fleet of 63 ATR 72-500s and ATR 72-600s. [antaranews/photo special]
