Vietjet's New Route Connecting Bali to Ho Chi Minh City

LOW-cost carrier Vietjet has opened ticket sales for a new route that connects Bali with Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City. Vietjet is the first and only carrier to operate the route, which will be available five times per week, namely on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday starting May 29.

According to Vietjet VP Nguyen Thanh Son said the four-hour flight is scheduled to depart from Vietnam’s Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport at 8:05 a.m. local time and arrive at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport at 1:05 p.m. Meanwhile, the return flight leaves Bali at 2:05 p.m. and lands in the Vietnamese city at 5:05 p.m.

“The Bali-Ho Chi Minh City flight uses the Airbus A320-A320 neo aircraft that can accommodate 180 to 230 passengers,” he said.

Nguyen Thanh Son also mentioned that I believe that the new route will not only create opportunities for people to travel by safe, civilized and modern air transportation but also connect two cities known as economic and cultural centers of Vietnam and Indonesia. The route will contribute to promoting tourism and economic integration in the region as well as introduce the images of Vietnam to the world.

“Vietjet operates around 400 flights per day with 108 routes covering destinations across Vietnam and abroad including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Cambodia,” he added. [thejakartapost.com/photo special]
