LION Air, Wings Air, Batik Air or Lion Air Group starting Wednesday (10/6), again serving domestic scheduled passengers.
According to Lion Air Group’s Corporate Communications Strategic, Danang Mandala Prihantoro in his statement in Jakarta said that according to developments, prospective aircraft passengers have increasingly understood and can meet the requirements needed to make airplane travel determined during the COVID-19 pandemic alert period.
He explained domestic flight services according to Circular No. 7 of 2020 concerning Criteria for Travel Requirements for Persons in the Adaptation Period of New Habits Towards a Productive and Safe Society Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) which re-regulates the conditions each prospective passenger must meet when traveling on an airplane.
“According to the circular, prospective passengers only need proof of medical tests such as PCR or rapid tests and/or health certificates. If the medical tests used are Rapid Test, then the validity period is 3 days, or if the medical tests used are Reverse Transcription – Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR), then the validity period is 7 days,” he said.
Danang added, if both the rapid test method and PCR were not available in the area of origin, the prospective passenger must obtain a symptom-free certificate such as influenza from the hospital doctor/community health center (Puskesmas).
He also explained, for prospective passengers Lion Air Group must arrive early at the departure terminal which is four hours before departure, show a valid identity card (KTP or other identification), wear a mask before the flight, while on the plane until landing and upon arrival and out of the airport.
“Next, wash your hands with soap or use germ-killing liquid, follow the rules of safe distance while at the airport terminal, maintain cleanliness while in the plane, follow the directions of the flight crew,” Danang noted.
He stressed, domestic Lion Air Group flights remained in Terminal 2E and internationally in Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, while other airports operating remained in the same terminal. [special photo]
