INDONESIA’S Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy supports the implementation of the 2021 Creativepreneur Conference as an effort to develop the creative economy sector in Indonesia.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, in the press conference of the 2021 Creativepreneur Conference, Monday (5/4), said the creative economy sector is a support for the tourism sector which is currently being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This event can raise our spirits in the midst of this pandemic and economic slowdown.
“Being an entrepreneur needs to have three main values, namely being able to innovate, be proactive, and have the courage to take risks. We wrap this innovation with adaptation and collaboration. So the adaptation here is the application of Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) and digitization,” he said.
In addition, Sandiaga revealed that the country is present in developing the tourism sector and the creative economy. He said in the event which will be held on April 9-11, 2021, his party would come and listen to suggestions and complaints from creative economy players.
“We will deploy a special team to handle events that implement the CHSE health protocol. The point is that the state is present, that is the key word,” Sandiaga noted.
But when he asked whether the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy sees a number of things that still need to be worked out, including protection of creative players in the domestic market, and the existence of certification to create standards, and copyright protection?
Sandiaga direct answered that we just finished a limited meeting. I coordinated with the Minister of Industry and the Minister of Trade so that there are incentives that the government can provide, especially the ease of standards certification and copyright protection to their works respective but not finish yet…. we are still working!
Meanwhile, the initiator of Creativepereneur, Putri Tanjung, said that the event, which carries the theme Developing Sustainable Indonesia Through Creativity, creative industry players and MSMEs will share success tips for the younger generation to take part in the creative industry world.
“Later there will be 40 speakers and 19 topics discussing each sub-sector of the creative industry,” Putri Tanjung concluded.
Apart from Sandiaga and Putri, the press conference was also attended by director Fajar Nugros and Program Director of Synchronize Festival, Kiki Aulia “Ucup”. [traveltext.id]
