A GLOBAL digital travel platform, Agoda launched GoLocal Tonight to help accommodation partners take advantage of the last-minute booking trends that are booming in this post-COVID era.

According to Enric Casals, Regional Director Southeast Asia and Oceania, Agoda said with uncertainty due to new outbreaks, changes to health protocols and last-minute travel restrictions, Agoda data revealed a shift in searches for same-day check-in and culminated in on developing GoLocal Tonight products that offer more savings to meet these demands.

“COVID has created a new category of travelers, namely those who previously may have been satisfied with staying at home to enjoy the latest Netflix films, but are now so attracted by good last-minute deals that become their impulsive decision to change the mood, deciding on what day to go. same for making room reservations and staying overnight,” Enric Casals said.

Enric added, the GoLocal Tonight product launched in Asia-Pacific helps hotel and accommodation partners reach these tourists and take advantage of previously unused inventory. In return, travelers get up to 30% discount on their accommodation bookings.

“To date, GoLocal Tonight from Agoda has more than 2,000 partners in several Asia-Pacific countries including Indonesia, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam,” Enric noted.

Supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign targeting customers via email, PR and social media, as well as special in-app and BLT offers, GoLocal Tonight has been launched since February 2021.

“We are constantly looking for innovative ways to support partner needs and provide effective solutions to increase occupancy. This product is a continuation of our successful GoLocal campaign driving domestic travel globally over the past year.
