MINISTRY ASKS BUSINESS PLAYERS TO USE DIGITAL MEDIA FOR PROMOTION

INDONESIA’S Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy encourages tourism business players in the country to utilize digital media as a means of promotion to the wider community.

According to the Marketing Communications Director of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Martini M. Paham in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu, Thursday (6/23), said that currently there are still many business players who have not maximized digital media for promotion in terms of everyone accessing digital media to seek information.

“Currently there is a pandemic, we cannot do marketing massively but with digital media our goods can be promoted throughout Indonesia and even abroad, to encourage business actors in the tourism and creative economy in the country to take advantage of this digital media,” Martini said.

Currently, Martini continued the tourism sector is being restricted because it involves community mobility. Therefore, the creative economy sector is encouraged to be passionate so that without moving business actors remain productive.

“So that tourism businesses and the creative economy in the region get used to doing promotions by utilizing digital media, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. During this pandemic, digital media is the most effective for promotion. This is the era of 4.0, like it or not, digital media must be used,” Martini undelined.

The country’s tourism sector is currently one of the sectors most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic so that with this tourism sector training, it is hoped that it can be excited again by ensuring the safety of visitors so as not to become a cluster of COVID-19 transmission.
