HOLDING STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISES AVIATA PUSHES POLICY & DATA SYNERGY

THE presence of PT Aviata or Aviasi Wisata Indonesia which was initiated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), in order to create synergy and integration of data and policies, between the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Economy and tourism and aviation companies in Indonesia.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno recently said that we fully support the establishment of the Aviation Aviation holding in Indonesia, which comes from several state-owned companies engaged in the tourism sector.

“We believe that the synergy step is a strategic step in mapping quality tourism, environmentally sustainable, with comprehensive policies, policies that are synchronized and well orchestrated,” said Sandiaga.

He really hopes that the presence of the integration of state-owned companies in the tourism sector can show the uniqueness of Indonesia’s unexplored tourist destinations.

PT Aviata will later oversee many state-owned companies in the tourism and aviation sectors in Indonesia. What Sandiaga’s hope regarding data integration is that the Ministry of Tourism can access data that has been owned by each State-Owned Enterprises while operating in the tourism and aviation sector.

The goal is that the data is processed using an artificial intelligence big data approach so that of course projections can be obtained to estimate tourist demand to the development of quality tourism.

“We hope that the holding can join forces to innovate in terms of a big data approach. Data from 34 million tourism and creative economy players, 16 million foreign tourists, and 200 million domestic tourists is very rich data. It needs to be developed,” Minister Sandiaga underlined.

In terms of policy integration, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy hopes that inter-ministerial coordination can be carried out so that the best talents from the tourism sector have the opportunity to join and contribute to the largest Tourism and Aviation holding in Indonesia.

“The Ministry of Tourism continues to coordinate with State-Owned Enterprises Minister, Erik Thohir as a representative of the shareholder representatives from PT Aviata. It is hoped that this holding will survive and open up job opportunities to increase our economic efforts to rise,” he stated.

In addition, Sandiaga also hopes that the newly created company will be able to conduct an Initial Public Offering (IPO) to enter the stock exchange. The goal is that the community can own a part of the company that will become the parent of state-owned companies in the tourism and aviation sector.

“We hope that this holding can go through an IPO and become a public company that our nation can directly own,” Sandiaga admitted.

PT Aviata is a holding that comes from a combination of state-owned companies that are now engaged in the tourism and aviation sectors. This company will be the holding company for all the companies that are incorporated in it so that the management becomes more integrated and maximized.

The government also decided that PT Survey Air Penas was changed its function and name to become a company PT Aviata. The arrangement of PT Aviata will be carried out in three stages.

In the first stage, several holdings included PT Angkasa Pura I, PT Angkasa Pura II, PT Hotel Indonesia Natour, PT Sarinah, PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko.

Then in the second stage, there is the ITDC (Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation) which will join for the arrangement after the decision to grant the 2021 State Capital Participation (PMN) is completed.

Finally, in the third stage, PT Garuda Indonesia will join in waiting for the company restructuring stage to be completed. PT Aviata is proposed to obtain PMN of IDR9.31 trillion in 2022. [traveltext.id]
