THE INDONESIAN Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) in developing the tourism sector and the creative economy.
The MoU was signed by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, and the Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasjid, virtually on Monday afternoon (9/20).
The memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry includes the exchange and utilization of data and/or information; implementation of development and provision of research support, education in the field of tourism and the creative economy; increasing the capacity of human resources in the field of tourism and the creative economy; to the development of Tourism Products and Organizing Activities (events).
Minister Sandiaga hopes that this collaboration, which will run for the next 5 years, can produce breakthroughs that can improve the Indonesian economy in the tourism and creative economy sectors.
“I hope it doesn’t just stop here, but also accelerates because there are so many agendas that we have to do. We have to move together. In the future we will involve KADIN. And KADIN must be a consolidator of activities This is so that it can be synchronized properly,” said Sandiaga.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arsjad Rasjid, said that this collaboration was the first step to collaborate and work together to restore the economy in the tourism and creative economy sectors, which are the backbone of the Indonesian economy.
“We know that the tourism and creative sector sector is a big foreign exchange contributor for Indonesia, because our tourism is very beautiful and visited by many foreign tourists. So, we hope that this memorandum of understanding is not just a signature, but there is an action plan that we can carry out together,” Arsjad concluded. [traveltext.id]
