Even in the midst of the social restrictions policy, the number of companies that joined as exhibitors showed high enthusiasm for this exhibition. The networking discussions were held for more than 1,300 times.
“FHI VirtualHub has succeeded in opening opportunities for visitors to explore insights with the best practitioners in their fields while expanding business networks through the Business Matching Program,” said Juanita.
She explained that for the 15 times this event was the first time FHI was held virtually. Not only online business meetings, FHI VirtualHub 2021 also provides a Hospitality Program webinar, F&B Hub Week as a comprehensive forum for business people in the industry to interact together, share ideas, trends, and knowledge of the hospitality and F&B business filled with trusted sources in their fields.
“This 4-day webinar program holding FHI VirtualHub 2021 itself was attended by more than 1,500 webinar participants,” said Juanita.
Juanita added, PT Pamerindo as the organizer of FHI VirtualHub 2021 hopes that business people can still hold business meetings in the midst of a pandemic and can expand their target market while opening opportunities, with new experiences by establishing a virtual business.
The F&B industry itself is one of the priority sectors or key sectors that are encouraged to be developed in the Making Indonesia 4.0 program because it has been proven to be able to consistently and significantly contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the non-oil and gas industry.
Based on data from the Ministry of Industry, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the F&B industry was able to record positive growth of 2.95% in the second quarter of 2021 and contribute to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reaching 6.66%.
Meanwhile, according to NielsenIQ survey data, the contribution of Indonesian consumer spending for food and drink alone reached 22 percent in the first quarter of 2021. [antaranews/photo special]
