G20 SUMMIT COULD BE A STEP TO RESTORE BALI’S ECONOMY: PRESIDENT JOKOWI

PRESIDENT Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said holding the G20 Summit would be the next step in Bali’s economic recovery. The visit of 20 countries with the largest GDP in the world will be a campaign and a mouthpiece that Bali is truly in a normal condition.

According to President Jokowi said Bali will be considered ready to welcome guests from any country if the G20 event is successful. Currently, his party is still preparing venues and hotels that will be the location of the G20 event. Indonesia and Bali have one year to prepare for the event.

“We hope that later it will be prepared in detail, don’t fail to hold today, I will check directly but in the morning the venues we visit,” he said, Friday (10/8).

President Jokowi stated that the Bali provincial government should be ready to support the holding of the G20 meeting. Moreover, Bali has experience in holding international events such as the IMW-WB Annual Meetings which were held in 2019.

“In fact, the plan is to increase support with more festive cultural arts so that the nuances of the G20 Summit are truly colored by Balinese culture and become a momentum for the revival of the Balinese economy,” President Jokowi remarked. [antaranews/photo special]
