IN ORDER to welcome the Christmas and New Year celebrations, HARRIS Vertu and YELLO Hotels Harmoni held a lighting ceremony on the Christmas tree or often referred to as the ‘Tree lighting ceremony’ as a sign of the start of the month full of joy by inviting children from the Emmanuel and Media Foundation Orphanage on Thursday (12/16).
The tree lighting ceremony began with a chorus from the Emmanuel Foundation Orphanage followed by remarks from the General Manager of HARRIS Vertu & YELLO Hotels Harmoni, Christoph Voegeli. In his remarks, Christoph Voegeli explained that this Christmas, HARRIS Vertu & YELLO Hotels Harmoni are collaborating on the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of Tauzia Equal Chance and ISCO through Tree of Hope.
ISCO is an organization that helps underprivileged children to gain access to education and hope for the future. Guests are welcome to donate directly at the place provided and then can take a card which can then be hung on the Wishing Tree.
“These donations pave the way for underprivileged children to access education, recognition and hope for the future,” said Christoph Voegeli.
In addition to Tree of Hope, there is also a Giant Santa and a train in the Outdoor area of the Voyage restaurant on the 5th floor, which will also enliven this year’s Christmas celebration. The celebration of the lighting of the Christmas tree lights as high as 3.5 meters in the 5th floor lobby was closed with dinner at Voyage Restaurant.
