INDONESIA’S KaTa CREATIVE 2022, AWAKENING ECONOMY AND OPEN JOB OPPORTUNIES

THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy launched the Indonesian Creative Regency/City (KaTa) development program in 2022, as an effort to generate the economy and create the widest possible employment opportunities.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno said that the launch of the Indonesian Creative Regency/City (KaTa) in 2022 was marked by the commencement of the Indonesian Creative Regency/City Self-Assessment Test (PMK3I) in Bitung City, North Sulawesi.

Sandiaga Uno in the event “Kick off the Implementation of the Indonesian Creative Regency/City Program (KaTa) in 2022”, in a hybrid manner, Monday (1/31), said that the Kata Kreatif program aims to explore, utilize, develop, manage, and convert creativity and utilize science and technology, arts, and culture to develop local potential.

“Starting 2022, congratulations Bitung City has experienced an important momentum, being the first city to mark the implementation of the Indonesian Creative Words program, which is our flagship at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. I hope that God will bless us all for the kick off of the 2022 Creative Words development,” he said.

Through the development of KaTa Creative, he hopes that the Bitung City community and government will be more innovative, adaptive, and collaborative in improving the performance of the creative economy in order to advance the welfare of the people in Bitung City.

“Because with this collaboration, we continue to be committed and consistent through several programs that are right on target and on time to generate the creative economy in Bitung City,” Sandiaga noted.

Furthermore, Sandiaga explained that Bitung City has a natural beauty of the sea within the scope of the Likupang Super Priority Destination, which needs to continue to be encouraged by the potential of its creative economy products.

Because, due to the contribution of the creative economy sector, Indonesia occupies the top three positions in the world, after America with Hollywood, and Korea with K-Pop and Korean drama number two.

“But don’t worry, because Bitung is still a part, not a buffer, but a strong pillar, which we will support from various creative economic results of the community, such as culinary products, to the typical crafts of Bitung City,” Sandiaga remarked.

Along with the strategy and development of KaTa Creative Indonesia, Sandiaga will also oversee the Government Assistance program for creative economy infrastructure, which will be given to communities/community groups, government institutions, non-government, in the form of providing assistance for the development of infrastructure facilities and infrastructure.

“Because we want to accelerate the development of the tourism sector and the creative economy, open up the widest possible employment opportunities, generate the nation’s economy and develop the socio-economic community in a comprehensive manner in a sustainable manner,” Sandiaga concluded.
