LION AIR NOW OPENS DIRECT FLIGHTS BALIKPAPAN-DENPASAR ROUND-TRIP

LION AIR added domestic flight routes to Balikpapan-Denpasar (round-trip). This also adds flight routes to and from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali. As for the frequency of its flights twice a week, every Friday and Sunday.

“Today I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali serves the inaugural flight from Balikpapan to Denpasar using Lion Air airlines so that currently there are three routes that we serve specifically from Balikpapan, namely Citilink Indonesia, AirAsia Indonesia and Lion Air airlines,” said General Manager Angkasa Pura I International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Handy Heryudhitiawan recently

According to him, the inaugural Lion Air flight is a good start because the flight route is still served by three flights, meaning that the strategic opportunity for seat occupancy levels can be more promising.

“We are enthusiastic to welcome the inaugural lion air flight through the ceremonial welcome of Water Salute and collaborate with Lion Air to welcome its first passenger Lion Air JT663 when it arrives given flowers,” he said.

He explained that the flight with registration number JT663 PK-LHY from Balikpapan landed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali at exactly 10.56 WITA carrying as many as 83 passengers. The plane then returned to Sultan Haji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Balikpapan International Airport at 13.50 WITA carrying 61 passengers.

In the development of domestic routes Handy Heryudhitiawan added that PT Angkasa Pura I continues to open opportunities for other airlines to develop strategic routes so as to provide diverse choices to prospective passengers
