G20 TOURISM MINISTERIAL MEETING 2022 AGREED ON ‘THE BALI GUIDELINES’

THE G20 Tourism Ministers meeting at the 2022 Tourism Ministerial Meeting in Nusa Dua, Bali, agreed on the Bali Guidelines as a guide for G20 member countries and international organizations in promoting the recovery of global tourism.

“We had a Tourism Ministerial Meeting and we can say, thank God, we agreed on the Bali Guidelines,” said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, Monday (9/26).

Sandiaga said, the Bali Guidelines are a very fundamental document agreement in the revival of a more inclusive and sustainable tourism sector. The Bali Guidline will be brought to the summit of the G20 Summit on 15-16 November 2022 for follow-up and forwarding to the next G20 chaired by India.

The Bali Guideline contains five action plans which were previously discussed in The 1st and 2nd Tourism Working Group. This plan has been discussed for more than a year, with the G20 member countries and the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization). [sources/photo special]
